Every barbeque cook has different equipment. Some cooks has different equipment for each meat they are cooking! You can go down your road and ask ten neighbors what they like or use when they cook and you will get ten different answers! Below, I will talk about about a few different types of equipment such as injectors and meat thermometers! I will talk about what they do and how they can help you at your next barbeque!
Pistol Grip Injector
If you are starting to get serious with cooking, this is the injector for you. It has a 50cc tube and comes with a storage box and a cleaning scrubber. You can inject a whole brisket in about 3-5 minutes.
It has 5 different settings and will last you for years! This is what I use and is 100% recommended for any type of meat!

Traditional Injector
If you are new to injecting meats, this might be type you are looking for. This type of injector typically ranges from $5 to $20 and can handle everything this Pistol Grip Injector can handle. The only draw back is there is no set stop, different parts of the meat will be injected more than others as it only has one setting.
If you are thinking about injecting meats and don’t want to go all out on a Pistol Grip, give this type of injector a try!

Instant Read Thermometer
If you are new or experienced to cooking, you MUST own an instant read meat thermometer!
An Instant Read Thermometer will tell you precisely what temperature your meat is at in around 2 to 5 seconds (pending on the model). If you like your steak at 152 degrees, this will make sure it is exactly 152 degrees!
Instant Read Thermometers range from $15 to $100 depending on the type and quality you are looking for. My best advice, if you don’t have one, at least get the $15 thermometer!

Digital Probe Thermometers
If you are cooking a long meat, such as a Brisket or a Pork Shoulder (Boston Butt), then you will wish you had a digital probe thermometer!
With the Instant Read above, you keep poking your meat to see where the temp is. With a digital probe thermometer, you simply place the prove into the meat and leave it there until it hits the desired temperature! This limits you poking the meat and your able to know enjoy your time with friends knowing exactly what temperature your meat is at!
These types of thermometers are game changes on Gameday!
