OUR STORY
In 2013, in the small town called Natchitoches Louisiana, an IBCA BBQ Contest was taking place with 37 competitors paying out $5,000. We decided “why not sounds like a fun time”….. about a few hundred dollars later we realized these guys were serious and we were GREEN! Long story short.. we did not receive any final table calls!
The following year, we practiced and practiced. We used all different types of rubs, wanted to know what worked! We were shooting in the dark and had no clue what we were doing or what to buy. After the year long process, we thought we were ready to take on the world! We still did not receive a final table call that year, but it did not matter, we were hooked.
Since then we have competed across Louisiana and Texas and received several top 10 calls!
During this entire process, I went all over the internet looking for various rubs, sauces, and equipment that fit my budget and was a quality product. I wanted to find someone reputable that had used these products so I could see what worked for me either in my backyard or in a competition.
When shopping one day, I had a bottle of BBQ Sauce and wondered if it would be good on wings. I looked online for some reviews, pictures, etc… but nothing gave me the satisfaction of really having a quality review of the product. This is the reason I decided to create Boudreaux BBQ. To help any cook, competitor or backyard, decide is this worth the money? Is this in my budget? How long will this last me before it breaks?
